Music Teaching Methods
I use a variety of music methods for my instruction on clarinet, saxophone, flute and brass. Before taking one of my classes, read up on the theories and materials required.
Clarinet
Methods selected from the following: Brimhall Theory Books, Rubank Series, Belwin Band Builder Methods, and First Division Band Method Methods; also Baermann, Rose, Kroepsch, Cavallini, and Stark plus concert solo material from the works of Mozart, von Weber, and Brahms.
Saxophone
Methods selected from the following: Brimhall Theory Books, Rubank Series, Belwin Band Builder Methods, and First Division Band Method Methods; also Universal and Bassi as well as concert solo material from the works of Eccles, Ibert, Jacobi, Neihaus Jazz Methods and improvisation from tapes or CDs made for the student.
Flute
Methods selected from the following: Brimhall Theory Books, Belwin First Division Band Series, Rubank Series, Soussman Series, and Cavally Series,
Brass
Methods selected from the following: Brimhall Theory Books, Belwin First Division Band Series, Rubank Series and Arbans.
All students will do warm-ups, such as: Major and minor scales, arpeggios, chromatic scale, octaves and thirds.

Whether you are taking clarinet, saxophone or brass lessons, please be sure to bring the following:
