Teaching Policies

Tuition /Prorate/Fees

Tuition is due on the first day of each month and is considered late if not received by the seventh.  Tuition is $116 per month and the late fee is $10.  Even if you do not attend your first lesson of the month, you are responsible for having your tuition in by the deadline.

For new students there is a one time $10 registration fee.

You cannot prorate a lesson month without, first, notifying me in advance.  You cannot deduct for lessons that YOU miss.

There are no refunds.

Rescheduling/Make-Ups/Holding Spots

Teaching is how I earn a living, so it is important to have a policy that is fair to both of us.  If you need to miss a lesson, you will need to leave a message twenty four hours in advance.  Make-up lessons are only given for legitimate reasons, such as illness or personal/family emergencies.  If you miss a lesson for other reasons, try to call in advance to see if you can reschedule to an open time (if available).  Please schedule Doctors or Orthodontist appointments on a NON lesson day.

There may be times, for some reason, where you need to take a month off.  Generally holding spots is not something I do as I cannot make a living holding spots.  But, if you absolutely have to have your spot held for the month that you are gone, there may be some sort of payment or pre=payment to guarantee that you will return.  If you decide not to return for that month, for any reason, you forfeit the payment.

If you are gone for more than a month, your spot will NOT be held.

Five Lesson Month

I usually will give the fifth lesson and build up vacation time.  Tuition is based on four lessons per month, forty-eight lessons per year.
