• Technique - correct embouchure and proper  breathing, tone production, articulation, practice habits and instrument care and maintenance.

Musicianship - reading skills, dynamic interpretation, music theory, listening skills, blend and balance.

• Styles - with emphasis on Classical, Jazz and Blues.

• Coaching on  - California State Honor Band Solo's, Santa Clara County Honor Band, California Music Educator's Solo Ensemble Festivals and talent shows
• Performance Opportunities - SBSMA Jazz Bands:  Ginga (combo) and Big Band; SBSMA Wind Ens.; Honors Concert; and Chamber music - including solos, duets, trios, and quartets.
